How to get to Rote?
Getting to Rote is getting easier in 2025 — Easy Accesibility means Land Prices skyrocket! Here’s how you can make your way to this tropical paradise:
Fly to Kupang (KOE)
Start by flying into Kupang, the capital of West Timor. You can get daily domestic flights from:
-
Bali (DPS) ~1.5 hours
-
Jakarta (CGK) ~3 hours
-
Surabaya (SUB) or Labuan Bajo (LBJ)
Airlines like Lion Air, Batik Air, Wings Air, and Citilink operate these routes.
If you're traveling internationally, start by flying to Bali (DPS) or Jakarta (CGK). From there, book a connecting ticket to Rote Island (RTI) with a short stopover in Kupang (KOE).
We recommend booking a single ticket all the way to Rote via www.traveloka.com to ensure your luggage is checked through and to avoid extra baggage fees.
